About
The Beaconly Journal is written for families in Singapore with children around nine to twelve. It covers how children develop, what the research says about interests, motivation and breadth, and practical ways to support and record what a child genuinely cares about.
What Beaconly is
Beaconly is an independent, early-stage product that helps children build a record of what they are genuinely interested in and actually did (the activities, the practice, the projects) and turns it into something a parent can see clearly and talk to their child about.
It is in early development. We are working with a small number of families in Singapore and are not open for general sign-up. If you want to know how it works, the product page explains it.
What Beaconly is not
It is not exam preparation, it does not coach for tests, and it is not a Direct School Admission service. A record of a child’s interests may be useful for many things later, but nothing we make is tuned toward any particular school’s decision, and we make no claim about admissions outcomes. This Journal follows the same rule.
Who writes here
For now, pieces are published under The Editorial Team. Named bylines, with each writer’s relevant background, are being added shortly. When we interview someone, their credentials appear at the top of the piece.

Independence
We are not affiliated with the Ministry of Education or with any school. Nothing on this site is sponsored, and we do not accept payment to feature any programme, centre or provider.
How we use research
We link to the studies we rely on, describe what they actually found, and say so when the evidence is thin or mixed. If you think we have got something wrong, email hello@beaconly.sg and we will look at it and correct the piece if needed, noting the date.

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and asks for no personal details. Everything in the Practice Library is free to download without signing up.
