Beyond Grades

Grades are the part of a child’s development that is easiest to measure, which is not the same as the part that matters most. This section looks at the rest: curiosity, persistence, the ability to work with other people, and the interests a child chooses for themselves.

The pieces here lean on published research rather than anecdote, and say so when the evidence is thin. The aim is not to argue against school, but to give parents a fuller picture of what they are already trying to support.
